Panagoula Pavlou is an Academic Fellow at the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University of West Attica, specializing in Cosmetology. She holds a degree in Pharmacy from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), a Master’s degree with the thesis titled “Study of skin absorption of polyphenolic compounds from white and red grape must”, and a PhD with the dissertation “The effect of ultraviolet radiation and cigarette smoke on the skin. Inhibition of harmful effects by the antioxidant pycnogenol”, awarded by the Faculty of Pharmacy, NKUA. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Pharmacy, she contributed to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and participated in the authorship of laboratory manuals for the postgraduate program “Cosmetology – Dermopharmacology” of the NKUA. She has served as an Academic Fellow and NSRF Scholar at the University of West Attica, in the field of Cosmetology. Her research interests include the development of new cosmetic products and the evaluation of their effectiveness. Within the Cosmetology–Dermopharmacology unit of the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Technology, she contributed to the formulation of active ingredients in topical preparations. From 2001 to 2004, she served as Head of the Research and Development Laboratory at the cosmetic raw materials company CELLCO CHEMICALS. In 2014, she founded PHARMADERMICS, where she serves as the Responsible Person for the development and distribution of the cosmetic line HYDERMIS in the pharmacy sector. She teaches undergraduate courses in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. She has authored research articles and participated in conference presentations. She has 25 publications in international journals (Scopus database), 390 citations and an Author h-index: 9
